The Saints vs Seahawks will start NFC conference action on Saturday at 4:30pm EST on NBC to decided one of the two remaining spots in the NFC divisional playoffs. The Saints are the reigning Super Bowl champions but will need to win on Saturday to earn their spot in the playoffs this season as +400 favorites to win in NFC conference odds.
The Seahawks are quite frankly one of the worst teams in the NFL going 7-9 straight up and against the spread to be the only team in the playoffs with a losing record and are listed as +4000 longshots in NFC Conference odds. Sunday will feature the Green Bay Packers vs Philadelphia Eagles at 4:30pm EST on FOX to decide the final team fighting for a spot in the NFC playoffs. The Packers finished the season 10-6 straight up and 9-7 against the spread in NFL picks heading into their Wild Card match-up on Sunday with the Eagles and are the fourth choice at +500 to win the 2011 NFC conference.
The Eagles +450 have gone 10-6 straight up, 8-8 against the spread heading into Sunday’s game with the Packers and will need QB Michael Vick to continue his dominance if they are to win in NFC conference odds. The Atlanta Falcons -175 are the betting favorites in odds to win the 2011 NFC Conference, have a first round bye and will play the winner of the Saints vs Seahawks game while the Chicago Bears +450 also have a bye and will play the winner of the Packers vs Eagles Wild Card game. The Falcons have pleasantly surprised their backers at 30-1 in NFL picks to win Super Bowl XLV by going 13-3 this season with their only losses vs the Steelers, Eagles and Saints while the Saints and Bears have gone 11-5 straight up this year.
