Cowboys vs Bengals: 2010 Hall of Fame Game

NFL betting for the preseason kicks off on Sunday Night with two teams that have deep benches and playoff hopes as the Cincinnati Bengals take on the Dallas Cowboys. Online sportsbooks opened with Cincinnati as a 2.5-point favorite in 2010 Hall of Fame game odds with an over/under total of 33. Kickoff is set for 8:05pm EST and the game can be seen on NBC-TV. While the preseason opener for a pro football team often means massive substitutions and plenty of backups, rookies and try-out players; the Cowboys and Bengals will have quality personnel in the game all the way to the end.

Both teams are deep at receiver and on defense, and have backup quarterbacks that have both experience and motivation to move up the depth charts. Dallas will give veteran Jon Kitna, Stephen McGee and Matt Nichol plenty of snaps at quarterback as Tony Romo is not likely to see more than a series or two. Cincinnati will also play starting quarterback Carson Palmer sparingly as JT O’Sullivan and Jordan Palmer will see most of the work. The Cowboys are an optimistic team heading into preseason NFL betting odds as Super Bowl talk abounds.

Owner Jerry Jones is hoping to host his own team at Cowboys Stadium for Super Bowl 45 in February. No team has ever played at home for the Super Bowl in NFL betting history. Dallas is thrilled to have one of the deepest receiving corps in the NFL and their position coach, Ray Sherman, has stated that it may be the best group he has ever seen. The Cowboys improved drastically on defense last year as head coach Wade Phillips took more control off the unit and installed a more aggressive approach that paid off handsomely. Marvin Lewis did the same with his Cincinnati team that has one of the most underrated defenses in the NFL.
